Shun Knives

Exceptional Beauty Meets Equisite Craftsmanship

Handcrafted in Seki City, Japan, Shun knives are produced with traditional methods, while taking advantage of modern knifemaking techniques. These processes allow Shun to create a product that is lighter weight, sharper, and thinner, giving them an edge that other knife manufacturers just can't match.

Shun Knives

Classic features beautiful Damascus-clad blades with a cutting core of Shun’s proprietary VG-MAX stainless steel and D-shaped PakkaWood handles. Classic also offers the widest assortment of traditional culinary blade shapes and cutting-edge designs.

The Shun Classic Blonde series features our 69-layer Damascus-clad blades and PakkaWood handles in a light, beautiful natural wood tone. They are ultra-sharp, durable, beautifully balanced, and simply magnificent to behold.

In Japan, Premier’s striking, hammered blade finish is known as tsuchime. Combined with mirror blade polish and intricately layered Damascus, it gives Shun Premier a look that is both rustic and sophisticated. But the real beauty of Premier is how it performs—with exceptionally agile handling.
