Like all Performance glasses, the 6884/67 is the first Riedel wine glass series ever to feature bowls with a light optic impact — a structured ridged pattern inside the bowl that increases the inner surface area, allowing the wine to open up faster and reveal every aromatic nuance with greater clarity and immediacy. For Pinot Noir specifically, the optic impact works in tandem with the glass's defining shape detail: a tulip bowl with a slightly flared lip that highlights the grape's irresistible sweetness while perfectly balancing its naturally high acidity and gracefully de-emphasizing alcohol — creating what Riedel describes as a "perfect picture" of the wine.

The bowl's shape supports the characteristic peatiness and plum-forward flavors that define sensual, expressive Pinot Noir at its finest — from the compact fresh fruit of New World expressions to the earthy, complex depth of Old World Burgundy. At 9-5/8" tall with 28 oz capacity and a generous 4-1/4" widest diameter, this glass has both the presence and the precision that great Pinot demands.
