Refinest Household Scissors, 8.5" L, Stainless Steel

One pair of scissors for every task the kitchen — and the household — throws at it. The Richardson Sheffield Refinest Household Scissors, 8.5-Inch is the general-purpose workhorse of the Refinest collection: sharp, versatile, and built with the same blade-making expertise that Richardson Sheffield has brought to Sheffield steel since 1839. Where the Refinest Herb Scissors (green) are specialized for delicate fresh herbs, these red-handled household scissors are the everyday pair that handles the full range of kitchen and home cutting tasks with equal confidence.

The sharp blade steel blades cut precisely through everything from kitchen twine and packaging to dried herbs, pizza, flatbread, dried fruit, dried meat, fresh vegetables, and food packaging — all the tasks where scissors are simply the most efficient tool in the drawer and pulling out a knife and cutting board adds unnecessary steps. The nut-cracking capability adds a secondary function that earns this pair a permanent spot in any kitchen that works with whole walnuts, hazelnuts, pecans, or macadamias — a practical, satisfying feature that replaces a dedicated nutcracker for most everyday uses.

The ergonomic handles are comfortable for both left and right-handed users — the ambidextrous design means every household member reaches for the same pair with equal ease. The bold red and black Refinest colorway makes these scissors immediately identifiable alongside the green herb scissors and other Refinest tools in any kitchen drawer, so you always reach for the right tool instantly. Dishwasher safe for effortless everyday care. From Richardson Sheffield, established in Sheffield, England in 1839.

Key Product Features

• Sharp Blade Steel — Cuts Precisely Through Every Everyday Kitchen & Household Task: Sharp blade steel handles the full range of household cutting tasks with equal precision — kitchen twine, packaging, dried herbs, pizza, flatbread, dried fruit, fresh vegetables, and food packaging — all the tasks where scissors are simply the most efficient tool in the drawer and a knife adds unnecessary steps.
• Versatile & Powerful — Also Cracks Nuts for a Smart Secondary Function: Beyond cutting, the Refinest Household Scissors crack nuts — walnuts, hazelnuts, pecans, macadamias — adding a practical, satisfying secondary function that replaces a dedicated nutcracker for most everyday uses and earns this pair a permanent spot in any kitchen that works with whole nuts.
• Ergonomic Handles — Comfortable for Both Left & Right-Handed Users: The ambidextrous ergonomic handle design is equally comfortable for left and right-handed users — so every household member reaches for the same pair with equal ease and confidence, without the awkward, inefficient cut of a right-hand-only scissor in a left hand.
• Red & Black Refinest Colorway — Instantly Identifiable Alongside the Full Collection: The bold red and black colorway distinguishes the household scissors from the green herb scissors at a glance, making the right pair instantly identifiable in any kitchen drawer — the color-coding logic that runs through the full Refinest collection and eliminates the fumbling for the right tool mid-prep.
• Dishwasher Safe — From Richardson Sheffield Since 1839: Fully dishwasher safe for effortless everyday care. Part of the Richardson Sheffield Refinest collection — established in Sheffield, England in 1839, the historic home of British cutlery and blade manufacturing.
