The Opinel No.08 Olive Wood Folding Knife is the classic French pocket knife dressed up with one of the most attractive woods Opinel uses. Olive is a hard Mediterranean wood with a yellow to orange tone and dense, often twisting grain. It is soft to the touch, takes a fine polish, and is varnished to protect it from moisture and dirt.

The No.08 is the knife that started it all in 1890 and is still Opinel's flagship size. Its 3.35-inch Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel blade is hardened to 55-57 HRC and ground to Opinel's convex Yatagan profile, so it cuts cleanly and is easy to resharpen. The Virobloc safety ring locks the blade open and closed.
