The Opinel Néo6 Black Oak is Opinel's take on a modern everyday carry knife. It is small, light and easy to use, and it is the first Opinel line built around Opiflex, a patent-pending blade-retention mechanism. Instead of a locking ring, Opiflex holds the blade securely open or closed without locking, so the knife opens and closes in one fluid, intuitive movement that anyone can manage.

The 2.75-inch black PVD-finished stainless steel blade has a slightly rounded tip, a reassuring shape for city carry and the small jobs of daily life: cutting fruit at lunch, opening parcels, sharpening a pencil. The handle is French oak, a hard, very durable wood whose high tannin content helps it resist insects and fungi, with a yellow-brown color and regular grain. The matte black PVD blade is more rust resistant than standard stainless, though more prone to scratching. The ergonomic curved handle ends in a natural leather lanyard.

Care: Wipe the blade clean and dry it after use, and avoid abrasive sponges or cleaners, which can scratch the black finish. Hand wash and dry right away. Do not soak the knife or put it in the dishwasher, which can damage a wooden handle.
