Riedel Eve Decanter

The Riedel Eve Decanter (1950/09) is a tribute to Eva Riedel, matriarch of the Riedel family. Its tall, serpentine curves turn pouring and serving into something of a performance, and Riedel counts it among its most iconic creations in modern glass design.

As the wine flows through the curved body, it is double decanted, picking up a lot of air contact in a single pour. Riedel recommends Eve for young, full-bodied wines and lists it as suitable for wines of all ages. It is made for one standard 750 ml bottle. Because it is almost 20 inches tall, plan for vertical clearance on the shelf and when rinsing.

Each Eve is free blown by a master glassblower in Riedel's European workshops, so every piece is slightly different; small variations, tiny bubbles or slight surface marks are a normal part of handmade crystal glass. The decanter arrives in a RIEDEL-branded gift box.

Care: Hand wash only; this decanter is not dishwasher safe. Rinse it with clear water right after use, and do not use RIEDEL Bottle Cleaner or other cleaning beads, since Riedel notes the beads can become lodged and difficult to remove.
